Other games worth checking out I’ve played through Far Cry 4 which worked great (some minor FOV issues during certain gameplay circumstances like getting into vehicles or using the grappling hook but still totally playable)Īlso, on a side note unrelated to Vorpx, check out Dying Light, the devs themselves enabled VR support but unofficially, you just have to tweak so config settings and its basically native VR. Im playing through the first one so i haven’t tried 2 yet, but the first one I’d say is comparable to Titanfall 2. I just picked up shadow warrior and shadow warrior 2. Please throw your thoughts & suggestions into the hat on what are your top fully immersive vorpX VR titles which you’ve experienced first hand. Great time to get that vorpX games library filled up!!!
So far the only other ones I’m aware of which have FULL VR are BioShock & Borderlands (Though I haven’t tested them myself yet). I’d love to hear people’s thoughts and suggestions as to which titles they’ve really been impressed with as far as full VR immersion goes. I was blown away with how much it looks like it’s full native VR, minus the motion controls of course, but it still plays very well with a gamepad. I’ve been eyeing Crysis 3 (Origin/non-Steam), Metro series, F.E.A.R series, Far Cry series, and several other titles.Īre there any which look as good and feel like FULL VR similar to how Half-Life 2 does? Such as : Bioshock series, Borderlands series, Battlefield series, Half-Life & Portal series, GTA V, Rise Of The Tomb Raider (3DSBS is suppossed to look great), Left 4 Dead 2, Outlast,SW:Battlefront II, a lot more racing games, etc. Still have a pile of other titles in my library yet to try with vorpX. So far I’ve tried Half-Life 2 (incredible, full VR), Titanfall 2 (very good, semi-VR/3D),a few of the older DiRT racing games (ok to good in “immersive” mode), F1 2018 (meh, not so good).
when entering a car or mounting a horse,” the developer writes.I’m new to vorpX, love it so far, and am always on the lookout for what the best and most convincing full VR experiences are.
“The connection mods implement perfect 1:1 headtracking, decoupled walk/look/aim, auto switching to EdgePeek in cutscenes and menu screens for improved comfort, and unique VR optimized cameras for both games that get rid of nauseating head bobbing and whenever possible the equally nauseating moments where the games briefly take away control, e.g. The latest version of VorpX, v21.2.1, now includes ‘connection mods’ for GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 which automatically configure the games for “a great out-of-the box FullVR experience.” Luckily the software includes built-in ‘FullVR’ configurations for specific games which makes them ready to play in VR right out of the box. VorpX has a huge range of options allowing players to tweak games to feel right in VR, but this can be an involved process. While the app doesn’t add core VR functionality like hand-tracking, for many games it adds head-tracking, stereoscopy, and other tweaks that make non-VR games playable inside the headset.
VorpX supports a long list of games, allowing users play them using a VR headset along with various adaptations that make them more suitable and comfortable in VR.
A new update adds automatic configuration for both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption II, offering an optimized out-of-the-box VR experience with minimal fiddling. VorpX is a tool which adapts many non-VR games to be played with VR headsets.
